Time to meet your neighbors!

Bed-Stuy is famously massive: there are at least four sub-neighborhoods, and nearly every corner has a little shop, restaurant, or bodega. With around 400,000 people, it can be hard to meet your neighbors, both businesses and residents. Coupled with our busy schedules, it’s tough to check out that new cafe that just opened down the block, catch that new art-show opening, or find that store that has your perfect little red dress. Well, we feel you! That’s why the Bed-Stuy Gateway throws Nothing But Networking events every month. Residents get to mingle and eat free local foods and drinks, businesses get to meet their local residents and make connections with other area businesses, and the rotating hosts get to strut their stuff and win mad bonus points (a.k.a. customers). But we need your help…

We want to get more local businesses and cultural institutions involved so we can help show you off! By providing your awesome food, you get face-time (or is it mouth-time?) with literally hundreds of future customers. By hosting these events, you get to place your business on the map and exchange digits with potential clients, suppliers, and buyers. And by attending these events, we guarantee you will leave happy: belly full with tasty local treats, and your pockets full with all new business cards and digits. Open to the public, we get everyone from residents around the block to people from New Jersey and Long Island. Past hosts and food providers include Breukelen Cellars, Foodtown, Super Wings, Ms. Dahlia’s Cafe, Skylight Art Gallery, and Peaches, just to name a few.

Some tasty vittles at one of our events.

Our next Nothing But Networking event will be held at the Skylight Gallery in Restoration Plaza, 1368 Fulton Street, on the 3rd Floor. From 6 – 9:00 pm, enjoy free wine and hors’d oeuvres while we celebrate the opening of En Foco’s “New Works #14” photography exhibit.
